Instructional Support: 

Mowery family, I am pleased to have the opportunity to serve you once again in the role of the Instructional Support Teacher (IST) for the 2015-16 school year. My role is to provide support for the students, teachers, and families throughout the school year. By working with a team of individuals, known as the instructional support team, which are comprised the IST teacher, classroom teacher(s), specialists and family, we help students achieve the highest level of academic and behavioral success possible.Students can be identified for the IST process by classroom teachers, family,administrator(s), or other professionals in the building. The Instructional Support Team can also serve to identify special services for students with specific learning needs.Response to Intervention and Instruction:Another component of the Instructional Support process in to identify those students who qualify for the Response to Intervention and Instruction (RTII). Students qualify for through various assessments. Students who are identified in Math or Reading are then progress monitored on a biweekly basis.
